Our Teachers
Felecia Felecia has been a dancer for six years. Her forms of dance include: jazz, ballet, modern, lyrical, hip-hop, cheerleading, and modern. She has trained at Kalvin Latimer Dance Academy, Backstreet Performing Arts, The Edge in Los Angeles, and Backstage Dance Studio in Las Vegas. She has also trained with world renowned choreographers Courtney Miller and Christopher Jones of Elite Dance Conventions. She has competed all over California as well as National Competitions is Las Vegas and has won many awards throughout her competition career. She is now the proud Owner of SPARKLE DANCE ACADEMY!!!!
Betsy Betsy Ann has been sharing her love of dance with children and adults for the past 12 years. She began her teaching in Marietta, Georgia at the age of 15 at Rhythm Dance Center as the exclusive Hip Hop instructor/choreographer for the studio and competitive company. She began teaching jazz, tap and lyrical while at Rhythm. Upon graduating high school, she took her love for teaching to the University of Georgia, where she implemented her own Hip Hop program through the University’s student athletic center. While in school she choreographed for the college’s Gymnastic team, the Gym Dawgs as well as the basketball dance team, The Georgia Red Hotz and toured nationally with LA DanceMagic convention/competition as a teacher’s assistant. In 2004, Betsy moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dancing career. She has had the privilege of working with major industry names such as Will Smith, Backstreet Boys, Jamie King, Nike, K-Swiss, Shaun T of Hip Hop Abs, and many more. Betsy continues to teach and choreograph at dance studios all over Southern California as well as traveling abroad to teach master classes. Betsy currently finished teaching a summer intensive workshop in George Town, Grand Cayman in the British West Indies. She is inspired by all of her students and feels beyond fortunate to be able to share her gift of dance with kids all over the globe.
Bosco Congratulations BOSCO on Booking Corbin Blue's Tour!!! See You In September!!!! BOSCO has performed live for the NBA, Pony, Adidas, Nike, Sony/BMG, Great Clips, L'Oreal, and the Minnesota Timberwolves. He's danced in the feature films You Got Served and the Seat Filler, acted in the motion picture Dirty Deeds, and also acted in Green Day's video Boulevard of Broken Dreams. He has been the assistant choreographer to Tyra Banks, Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child, and has assisted co-choreography for an Aveda industrial. As for television, Bosco has appeared on episodes of My Wife and Kids, America's Next Top Model, So You Think You Can Dance, and the 2006 Miss Universe Pageant. He also shot a commercial for I Pod, and did a print/TV advertisement for the 2006 season of American Idol. He has performed in Chelo's video Yummy featuring Too $hort, Ashley Tisdale's He Said, She Said, and Daddy Yankee's video Impacto feat. Fergie. He has taught at conventions, numerous studios, judged at competitions, and set overall high score choreography all across the United States. He is happy to be sharing his love for dance at Sparkle Dance Academy!
Angie Angie has been dancing for 24 years and teaching and choreographing for 12 years. She was trained by some of the best teacher’s. She started at Debra Kaye Dance Studio under the direction of Debra Kaye. She went on training with Johnnie Smith, Joe Tramaine, Kalvin Latimere, Terry Russel, Jackie Sleight, Eddie Garcia, and Christopher Jones from the hit movie, “You got served”, just to name a few. She has won numerous awards as well as her competitive teams. She was a Cheerleader all four years of High school and was a Cheer coach for Poly High School and Loma Vista Middle School in Riverside, CA. She also was a back up dancer for the singing group called “foxi Nova”. She started dancing salsa in 2001. She was trained by Jo Quinones, Jose Santoyo, and Gloria Otero. She took 3rd place in the professional category of the 2003 Mayan World Salsa competition and took 1st place at numerous local competitions including Jack and Jill competitions as well. She has performed at numerous places such as L.A Salsa Congress, Las Vegas Salsa Congress, San Francisco Salsa Congress, Salsa Extravaganza in palm springs, CA, International hustle salsa Competition in Miami, FL, and has done a theatre show, dancing salsa in Sea Brook Island, SC. She became known for her creative choreography and musicality. She is currently the Director of Danzanna Productions, specializing in Salsa, Cha-Cha, Merengue, and Bachata.
Briana Briana has been a ballet dancer for 20 years, and has choreographed several pas de deux and solo works. She received most of her training in her hometown of Denver, Colorado, from instructors Larry Boyette, Karen Williamson, Kris Kehl, and Carla Parks. Briana also received instruction at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet from such world-renowned teachers as Rafael Grigorian and Gennadi Vostrikov. She previously danced as a corps member and a principal for Carla Parks' Classical Dance Theater in Denver. Her past roles include the Dewdrop Fairy in the Nutcracker, the Sylph in Les Sylphides, a Willi and Peasant in Giselle, and principal roles in many independently choreographed works. She is thrilled to be able to share her love of ballet with her students.
