Our Teachers
Felecia Felecia has been a dancer for six years. Her forms of dance include: jazz, ballet, modern, lyrical, hip-hop, cheerleading, and modern. She has trained at Kalvin Latimer Dance Academy, Backstreet Performing Arts, The Edge in Los Angeles, and Backstage Dance Studio in Las Vegas. She has also trained with world renowned choreographers Courtney Miller and Christopher Jones of Elite Dance Conventions. She has competed all over California as well as National Competitions is Las Vegas and has won many awards throughout her competition career. She is now the proud Owner of SPARKLE DANCE ACADEMY!!!!
Betsy Betsy Ann has been sharing her love of dance with children and adults for the past 12 years. She began her teaching in Marietta, Georgia at the age of 15 at Rhythm Dance Center as the exclusive Hip Hop instructor/choreographer for the studio and competitive company. She began teaching jazz, tap and lyrical while at Rhythm. Upon graduating high school, she took her love for teaching to the University of Georgia, where she implemented her own Hip Hop program through the University’s student athletic center. While in school she choreographed for the college’s Gymnastic team, the Gym Dawgs as well as the basketball dance team, The Georgia Red Hotz and toured nationally with LA DanceMagic convention/competition as a teacher’s assistant. In 2004, Betsy moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dancing career. She has had the privilege of working with major industry names such as Will Smith, Backstreet Boys, Jamie King, Nike, K-Swiss, Shaun T of Hip Hop Abs, and many more. Betsy continues to teach and choreograph at dance studios all over Southern California as well as traveling abroad to teach master classes. Betsy currently finished teaching a summer intensive workshop in George Town, Grand Cayman in the British West Indies. She is inspired by all of her students and feels beyond fortunate to be able to share her gift of dance with kids all over the globe.
Randall Trained in Dallas, Texas and moving on to a performing career with Boston Ballet under E.Virginia Williams, Joffrey Ballet under Robert Joffrey, New York City’s Metropolitan Opera, and numerous plays and musical theatre productions around the world, Randall Graham brings a wealth of knowledge and excitement to Sparkle Dance Academy. After a long career in ballet, Mr. Graham, began a close working relationship with Agnes deMille’s long time associate Gemze DeLappe. Together they staged numerous deMille productions of Brigadoon, Carousel and Oklahoma! across the country including Brigadoon for New York City Opera and North Carolina School of the Arts, and” Oklahoma! Suite” for Tulsa Ballet. We look forward to the knowledge and experience he will bring to the students here at Sparkle Dance Academy.
Liz Liz has been a dance educator in California for over 13 years. Growing up she studied with Dance Precisions and Ballet Pacifica, under the direction of Molly Lynch. At 18, she moved to New York to study at Purchase College Conservatory and transfered to UCI to complete her bachelors degree. She has been awarded scholarships to Dance Educators of America, Defore Dance Center, UC Irvine's Barebones Dance Theater, UC Riverside's Chancellors Award, and two time UROP Grant Award Recipient. She was the only UC Irvine student select to perform at Rick Odum's "Festival of Solo's and Duets" at the Espace Carpeaux in Paris, France. She has done industrials for Smashbox Cosmetics, Sephora, and the Little Bra Company, along with Children of the Night at CBS Studios. As an assistant, she has worked with teachers at Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, Tremaine Dance Conventions, Edge PAC and Defore Dance Center, as well as a pre-production assistant for Jeanne Anne Ryan's Saturday Night Fever, and for Manhattan based contemporary company "Omen". She has been a recognized choreographer at Showstoppers, KAR and I Love Dance and That's Dancin, as well as co-producing the largest undergraduate show UC Irvine's history. She has taught master classes from Bakersfield, Ca, to Warwick, New York, and was most recently performing with Dulce, a cabaret styled performance company.
